2nd of October 2013
i have created a questionnaire on surveymonkey to try and gather as much information on my target audience as possible. I'm going to use my collected data to formulate a video analysis, on the peoples 'likes & dislikes' from the questionnaire. The pitch is going to be done for the 3rd of October, because we need to present to Miss Saunders tomorrow. Me and Ryan Sewell (group member) will work together to construct a pitch that is well presented. We will divide and share the work so it is equal and fair.
3rd of October 2013
We did our presentation (pitch) in class today, and listened to everyone else's in the class. Me and Ryan are going to sit down and record ourselves talking about are target audience from the questionnaire data we extracted. We should be able to upload at the end of the day.
4th of October 2013
24th of October is the deadline for all pre-production work, so today i am going to finish off my textual analysis and genre research. I also have to set up a focus group with miss Saunders.
10th of October 2013
we looked at our schedule and found things to do this lesson. I did the risk assessment and Ryan did the shot list. We are working together in order to get everything done before the deadline. We are working on a time and place when it is best for us both to head into London and start location scouting. We have kept up to date on our tracker and our own personal deadlines have been marked down.
14th of October 2013
Today we have been looking into the way certain individuals and groups have been represented by media text. A lot of the media like to put a spin on the story so they target and attack peoples character. For our music video we have been researching tessa perkins theory on stereotypes.
17th of October 2013
Today in lesson we looked at Theory for exam prep, along with making sure that we added this Theory research onto our blogs. Also we had a team meeting and decided how we were going to tackle the shots. I looked at how to do an Eye Zoom and slow mo effect in Aftereffects, while Ryan (group member) was approaching the storyboard. He asked me for suggestions and he shared his own ideas with me.

14th of November 2013
Before we started filming (which will be tomorrow hopefully), we had to take a look at the weather forecast to see if Friday was a good day to film. Me and Ryan agreed that we should start filming on Friday because we were both available. But before we took the equipment out and started filming we planned our day out in advance - A sensible idea because we don't want anything to go wrong, especially with the equipment. Here are some screenshots of the weather forecast for Friday: (The weather was good to us Luckily)

Today we began filming in Lee Valley for our music video. We both meet at the school and picked up the equipment from Miss Saunders. We took two cameras (which now looking back on it was a good thing because one of the cameras battery's was dying on us), a single tripod and a handle that attaches to the camera (During filming the camera attachment helped us move around on set more - it made the camera much more portable, allowing us to do an 180 degree rotation). We filmed for about three hours and got most of the shots that we needed for the first couple of scenes. Now we have to travel down to London to film the main lot. Here are some screenshots of us setting up the equipment:

Today our teacher told us we had to create a digipak individually - we have to make our digipak on Photoshop. This gives us more learning time to work with the program. I researched digipaks and watched other students on YouTube doing the same thing analysing and researching digipaks .
25th of November 2013
Me and Ryan started editing footage from our trip to Lee Valley. We uploaded the footage onto the computer and started with the program serif
looking through the different scenes rearranging them in order. (We have to use the same computer every time that we start editing, because our footage is
saved onto that specific computer).

Today I furthered my research on digipak and why physical cd copies have declined because of digital sales. But even with digital sales its declining in itself because of illegal downloading of music and movies. We also made our production logo on Photoshop which will be displayed on our finished music video and album cover of our music album - chase and status end credits. We have taken photos of Ryan so that we can represent him on the album cover.
5th of December 2013
Me and Ryan will be taking a trip to London in Covent Garden and Leister square. We checked the weather condition for Saturday - planning in advance.
8th of December 2013
We arrived in London and went straight to Covent Garden, Leicester square and Trafalgar square. We had a look around to see what places where right to film in, because for some scenes we needed a clear space where there wasn't much people to bother us or get in the way. The filming was successful and we accomplished all of the things we sent out to do. We also took the opportunity while we were in London to get some pictures of Ryan in the London scene for our digipak. We made full use of the equipment while we were filming in London, as you can see from the below images:

I uploaded my digipak photos from London and explained what happened on the trip, and how the main reason for the trip was to film, along with getting the digipak photos. I am in the process of making the front cover of my digipak, I have chosen the photos I want to use, I know have to learn more about Photoshop.
18th of December 2013
Today was the last day of filming. Ryan asked one of his friends from the year below that does media to help us out - because we needed another character to spice it up. I thought that this time we should go further into lee valley to show a different setting because we had already filmed in lee valley, for the first initial filming. We used the tripod but we were lucky because we only needed two people in each scene. We spent a good two hours on the final filming, we now have to upload what we have and put all of the footage in sequence so it makes sense.

Today we both took it in turns to edit our music video on photoshop - We did an hour each of coursework and editing because it was a double lesson. It will take another lesson to complete but it is nearly finished. We have cut pieces out of it because it seems to be to long, and it doesn't match with the beat of the soundtrack.
6th of February 2014
We were going to film today but the weather was bad, so instead I worked on my magazine advert and researched the codes and conventions of drum and bass for pre-production. Because we took some footage out of our music video, we now have to fill the gaps and film more next week on Wednesday. Once we have finished filming and editing I can start my evaluation.
